Buying a digital photo frame
Digital photography has revolutionised the way we see photos. Photo albums will never be defunct because they offer touch and feel, important to traditionalists. Holding an album and showing holiday photos to friends and family is a different dynamic to having a digital photo frame on your sideboard. The convenience of taking, deleting and editing of digital photographs has allowed individuals to store large amounts of photos on their pc, so the advent of digital photo frames offers a piece of technology that can store and show these in a dynamic way.
Choice of brands, sizes finishes and style is great as didigtal frames have been around for a while. When buying a photo frame it’s important to think where you are going to place it. If you have a large desk you may choose a larger 10 inch digital photo frame or the even bigger 12 or 15″.
There are larger well known brands in the space including Sony, Kodak, Philips and Polaroid to name but a few. However there are also a lot of lesser known brands, so it is important to check the reviews of the products on Amazon etc.. to see which are robust, reliable and value for money.
The style of photo frame should fit in with its surroundings. The modern flat highly polished look is very fashionable and comes in various colours and styles. Wooden frames are also a natural choice for an alternative to a static picture frame. With a wide choice of styles also comes a wide choice of colours, so black, white, cream, red and grey would all be available to consumers.
As well as the standard sizes mentioned above there are also a few different types of photo picture frames which are on the market. These include keyring size at 1.5 inches, travelling photo frames at 2.5 inches, talking picture frames and 3.5″ small frames.
Things to watch out for:
Photo Clarity – Like lcd tvs, it is important to check the clarity of image as some are better than others
Glass or plastic – As digital frames can be placed in places where they can be knocked off, material is something you should consider
