PIzza Hut Introduces iPhone Application

Pizza’s seeing high sales because of an iPhone application…sound senseless? It does. But as a matter of fact the pizza sales did go high up because of iPhone application. Okay, let’s see how iPhone application and Pizza Hut are connected.

In an out-and-out innovative fashion, Pizza Hut has introduced iPhone application in U.S.. The carefully thought sales tactic that it was, the results had to be good – Pizza Hut generated revenue of around million in first three months of the release of the iPhone application. Serious Business, I would say! The users have found this application fun and exciting to use for selecting your pizza online and then placing an order for it.

You may want to read the below extract from the blog post to verify what I am saying:

“In just three months of its release, this app has generated revenue of more than $1 million for the chain. It’s currently approaching the 1 million download mark in the US.”

“Bernard Acoca, Senior Director of Digital Marketing at Pizza Hut, Dallas, TX said: “From an income standpoint iPhone customers tend to be more affluent, and they’re in the tech-savvy 18-34-year-old demographic skewing slightly male that we tend to go after online. We always saw a steady level of growth with our mobile business via our WAP site, but to be candid it wasn’t the explosive level of growth we’ve seen with the iPhone app.

This surely is a nice and a smart way to compel the users to buy one’s product. And Pizza Hut’s well thought strategy definitely had to get them good sales.
